The Song of Welcome Spring

I took my walk this morning. It was cold and there was still snow everywhere but the sky was bright blue and the sun felt so warm it softened the coldness of the morning. The birds were everywhere, in the trees, all along my walk, singing happily a sweet song that I had forgotten. They sang it from the treetops, they sang it as they soared across the morning sky.
